Serving on City Council
Steve was voted in as Mayor Pro Tem by fellow Council Members early this year. He was elected in 2021 to represent Ward II.
On City Council, he has served on these boards:

An Aurora resident for nearly 30 years, Steve owns and operates a popular local bar & grill that employs 26 incredible Coloradans. He has also enjoyed doing voice over work and real estate investing.
He’s served on a number of boards and commissions in past years, receiving awards for charitable contributions to the community. Steve has had a heart for supporting youth sports and programming, and is proud to have served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA).
Steve met his wife Chantal in the Congo after building homes with Habitat for Humanity in Uganda. An immigrant from Rwanda, arriving in 1998, Chantal became a US citizen and loves America. They have two amazing children, Livia and Luke, ages 25 and 23.
He has a bachelor’s degree in speech communication from Colorado State University and a master’s degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix.
